Writing task

Hi everyone, this blog is about one of my writing tasks. This task was all about show not tell, we had to turn boring sentences into more interesting ones, 

It was hot

1. Sweat was dripping down my face while I was out in the boiling hot sun.

He was sad

2. Tears were rolling down her face as she was curled up in the corner in misery.

The man was stressed

3. The man was passing across the floor making a small draft.

The girl was excited

4. The girl was jumping up and down screaming with joy.

And we also had to write a short story using show not tell,

In the woods

It was a cold winter's day and I was just curled up in my blue sleeping bag snoring away. All of a sudden I heard a loud bang and my eyes opened as wide as they could go. I stepped outside my tent to see if I could see anything. There was nothing in sight so I just got comfy again back in my sleeping bag. But as soon as I got comfortable I heard the bang again. I thought nothing of it so I just went back to sleep, around thirty minutes later I heard it again, but it was continuous. So as fast as I could, I packed up all of my stuff and got to the car as soon as I possibly could.

Writing DLO

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog. For this blog, I'm going to be talking about my writing DLO. This task is about show not tell, I worked with my friend for this task. We got given four boring sentences each and we had to make them interesting with show not tell, here is my DLO.

He’s nervous about his job interview

He was biting his crusty nails,  pacing up and down the hallway dripping in sweat.

I walked through the forest. It was already Fall and I was getting cold. 

I could hear the frosty leaves crunching underneath my muddy shoes, my fingers had started to slowly change blue and my teeth chattered  together as my jaw shook from the cold. 

Michael was terribly afraid of the dark.

He was shivering with fear inside his blanket with a scared impression on his face.

The pizza was delicious.

Mereana - I was drooling just looking at the pizza in front of me and  when I bit into it I felt like I was floating.

 Grace - The greasy cheese slipped off the crunchy pizza base and slipped onto my fluffy wool  jumper. 

She was so sad when she lost her puppy.

She kept on thinking about how warm and soft she was when they cuddled and the sound of her bark, it felt like she had just lost her best friend. 

It was a stormy night.

The rain was pouring down, the thunder was as loud as a rock band and the lightning was crashing like two cars colliding.

It was an exciting day.

I was overwhelmed with happiness, I couldn’t help but my cheeks hurt from smiling. 

I dropped my ice cream in the dirt.

I look down at my dripping ice cream covered in dirt slowly melting and sinking away.

Maths DLO

Kia ora koutou, welcome back.

Today I'm going to show you my maths for this week, this week I worked on geometry and measurement. Here is my DLO.

Punctuation

Kia ora Koutou, on this blog I'm just going to show you my writing. For this task we had to watch videos about different types of punctuation, I changed two sentences in my report with full stops and changing things around. So here it is:

Creativity activity

Kia ora koutou, welcome back.
For our first creativity task, we had to write 100 different ways to use a paperclip, here are a few of them:

1. lock picker
2. Graffiti on plastic scratch tool
3. Worm hook
4. Paper note / memo hanger
5. To make pixel holes in paper
6. Narrow crack dirt remover
7. Pixel Stamp
8. DVD drive opener
9. Aerial for radio
10. Aerial for small TV

And the other task was to fill in four circles and four squares with your creativity, in two of my circles, I have put a ring and a planet and in two of my squares, I have put in a house and Sponge bob.
