Term two PBL

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog.
Today I'll be talking to you about our driving question for PBL for term two and it is........
How can we stand up against discrimination.
If you don't  know what discrimination is, it's racism and/or sexism and favouring out because you don't like someone for what they look like, and we want to learn how to stand up to this.
We are going to continue to learn about standing up to discrimination so stay tuned until my next blog and let me know if you are going to help stop discrimination but until then, BYE.

Digi awards

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog.
Last night Kaupeka hub's friends and family (and their self's) attended the 2019 Digi award.
Kaupeka hub had do make a scratch project, video or website to describe what they think greatness actually means, we had 3 guest judges and our principle, Mrs Earl, Kendra Kocksedge,
It was a really fun night when all the friends and family of the Kaupeka hub was walking around the room and looking at everyone's final product's. Then it was on to the awards and first was the category awards. There were 5 winning groups and my group won open!! then we were one of the finalists!! unfortunately we didn't win but we were still proud.
I hope you enjoyed my blog and let me know if you've ever done something like this before.
Until next time BYE.

Management levels

HI EVERYONE,
welcome back to my blog.
Today I'll be talking about our management levels.
There are four stages, Goomba Town, Cookie Canyon, Fuzzy Tree Tops, and Bowsers ultimate lair. Everybody wants to get up the top to Bowsers ultimate lair but no one wants to stay in goomba town. As you keep going up levels, you get more, let's say freedom. I guess it's kind of like growing older, when you're in goomba you're like a toddler then in cookie canyon you're about our age, Fuzzy is like high school or university then Bowsers is a full adult.
Thanks for coming back and let me know where do you think you would be at?
Until next time BYE.

Painting the town blurb

Hi everybody,
welcome back to my blog.
Today I'll be talking about my blurb so without further ado here it is:
Paint the town blurb-
Since the 2011 earthquakes most of the buildings in town got damaged and knocked down and rebuilding it takes a lot of time, but in the meantime creativity is helping to lift spirits. Music, movies, art etc. These are helping people to get through hard times especially visual art, since when did this explosion of art come through? After the earthquakes the art gallery was closed but that didn’t stop them, so the started painting the town to keep giving people art.

The art gallery sartet to put temporary art all around the city such as walls, and even roofs of the whole city. Many of very creative projects have also been helped by a group called gap filler. In December 2013 two public events of art took place, a project called from the ground up got a group of New Zealand artist to Christchurch for one whole week of creativity on the streets and a huge art festival called rise opened and artists from New Zealand, Australia and Belgium all got fifteen amazing pieces of artwork done all around city walls.

One of the first public pieces of art was done by Wayne Youle. His painting was a giant shadow board that you would find in a work shed or garage. It’s called I seem to have temporarily misplaced my humour and it’s 37 METRES LONG!! But it’s not just tools, it also has toys, instruments and even animals. He says the mural is for all of the people that lend a hand when others needed it, and also it was for all of the things that people that had lost something in the 2011 earthquakes.

Thanks for coming back to my blog.
Let me know if you've ever written a blurb before.
Until next time BYE.

#choosekind

Hi everyone, welcome back to my amazing world of blogging.
Today I will be talking to you about how important kindness is in our school.
First thing I was going to talk about is the kindness jar, basically we have little pieces of paper and you write on it the persons name and the thing they were doing kind or right. We then put them in a jar in the office and in every assembly we draw out a piece of paper and if your name gets pulled out you get a prize. Speaking of prizes, the prize is actually a students piece of work. Each student made a t-shirt with their own design on it.
Thanks for stopping by and have you ever done anything like this before?
until next time, BYE.
