Location and climate
The Netherlands is a country in western Europe bordered by the North Sea in north and west, it is bordered by Germany in east and Belgium in south. The country also shares maritime borders with France and the United Kingdom.1 The Netherlands is 33,893 square kilometers and the capital of the Netherlands is Amsterdam. Daytime temperatures varies from 2°C-6°C in the winter and 17°C-20°C in the summer.

The population of the Netherlands is 17,110,970. In the Netherlands there are lots of different ethnicities in the Netherlands, 73.9% dutch and 26.1% other.
