Awesome day at athletics

HOLA AMIGOS,
today I'm going to be talking to you about athletics day.
First up was sprints and I'm pretty sure I came last, next up was long distance and I think I came fourteenth which isn't that bad, now that all the racing is over it's time for shot put, discus, high jump and long jump. First was shot put and I came first with 6 metres and 92 centimetres and second for discus with 12 metres and 45 centimetres.

Next up high jump and let me tell you I did TERRIBLE I could hardly jump over 1 metre so will everyone else jumped I played on a soft mat with some of my friends. And know lucky last, at least that's what I thought I got disqualified for long jump because my toes went over the line but at least I qualified for shot put and discus.

Thanks for coming back to my blog and make sure you comment if you like athletics.

adiรณs and see you next time.

Come and look at my journey of the Tumu PBL performance!!!

BONJOUR, and welcome back to my amazing world of BLOGGING.
This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about cultural stories and the big question was;
What is the significance in the 21st Century of our Cultural stories?

First we brainstormed what culture is and came up with lots of ideas. Culture is traditions, traditional food, different holidays, celebrations, reunions and different religions
Then we thought about our own culture and talked to our parents about our traditions and heritage. I wrote a post about my family and things we like to do.
In Literacy we read and discussed myths and legends from around the world then we concentrated on Maori legends. I read Maui and the sun, the battle of the mountains and more I retold the legend of Maui and the sun and Maui and the big fish in my own words.

We made a performance about the story Battle of the Mountains. Some students wrote the script, some students took on the job of making all the artwork, some worked hard on organising the music and others took on the role of bringing the story alive with dance and drama.

Here is a photo of me platting my poi for the performance:

For our production I contributed by doing the poi dance and painting the setting

I think the show might impact on others by making the battle of the mountain story come to life

What I learned about working with others was that it is better to work with others and have help than to work independently with no help and not that many ideas.

Thanks for visiting my blogging world and let
me know if you have ever been in a performance before.
Hope you have a fantastic day, so until next time.

I never knew how hard it could be...

Kia ora everyone, today in my blogging world I'll be talking to you about swimming lessons that we had for the past two weeks at Graham Condon. I was in the highest group along with Caitlin, Natalie, Felicity, Josh, Sophie and Mia, I REALLY enjoyed swimming because I got to do it with my friends and I also had a funny tutor. We did around 10-12 solid hard lengths everyday for 20 hard solid minutes. on Thursday we had water safety day and on Friday we had to swim in our pyjamas to see what it would feel like to swim with weight.
Here are some photos...

I hope you enjoyed this blog and make sure you comment if you like
swimming and what your favourite stroke is.
Bye Have A Great Day.๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Come spread the Maori vibes with me!!

Hi everyone welcome back to my blog today I will be sharing you my reading
follow up about convincing people to share stories about Maori stories so I decided to present mine in a rap,
Hope you enjoy.

Wassup I’m Mereana and I have something to say, we should share our Maori stories every single day
I know it’s hard to do but they need to stay true
They must stay alive then we can spread the Maori vibes.

Maui lassoed the sun to make our days longer the sun didn’t continue to be any stronger. When people tell our stories it’s very educational, if we don’t do it our ancestors will be very emotional. I know this for a fact because they told them when they were younger, they even dreamed about them when they slumber. The Maori culture is slowly dying we don’t want to see our ancestors crying.

I hope you spread all the Maori stories, they will go down in all of its glory.
(MICH DROP)

I hope you share the Maori stories, then we will have no worries.
Have a great day and share the Maori vibes in lots of ways.
Let me know if you are going to keep on spreading around Maori knowledge.
BYE.

Thanks for having a look at my post.

Comment what culture you're from because I definitely want to know.
